An exciting customer to work with. Lifesaving products for the world. www.earthquakeprotection.com

Stainless steel Friction Penlulum being precision machined
Original design of lathe had two cutters at opposite sides to balance forces on the part. With new controls, accuracy can be controlled even with only one side cutting. This makes setup and programming much easier. Especially since most of the cuts are vertical.
The accuracy of old iron is improved with modern controls
Single cutting head is controlled precisely even with heavy forces involved with turning stainless steel
Controller provides easy jogging to position each vise just right for the operator to adjust
Business end of the vertical axis where the cutting bit is mounted
New motor & encoder for the vertical axis
New motor, encoder & coupling for the horizontal axis ball screw
New CNC controls on the left side of the control cabinet
New servos on the top and right edges of the control cabinet. Spacious layout for easy maintenance and heat removal. Still plenty room left for expansion.
